We have enjoyed exploring sculpture as a visual art form. We found it very calming and thought provoking as we worked with our bars of soap.
We have started revisiting some areas of maths which were challenging the first time round. 5P have been thinking about their multiplication strategies, 5Y using whole and decimals numbers when working with area and perimeter, 5M have been working on ways to calculate areas and perimeter.
Our focus on descriptive writing has continued as we explored alternative words for many simple yet overused adjectives.

No awards this week but watch this space for next weeks achievements.
Please continue with your artist studies.
Chose an artist whose work you are interested in. It could be someone you have studied in school or somebody completely different. Try to copy some of the techniques and styles they use to produce your own piece of art. Try to use it as a way of expressing yourself and think about what you want people to think about when they look at your piece.
If any one has borrowed the DVD about the coming Changes unit please remember to return to Miss Chung via the class teachers.
