Airport trip information: please ensure your child is in full school uniform and remembers to bring $20 in a named wallet or purse. The children will be back in school for normal lunchtime.
Any parents volunteering please be at school in room 302 at 9.15am for a trip briefing. Details of the excursion have been sent home in your child’s diary today.
All children need a hat for break, lunch times and PE lessons. Please ensure they are clearly labelled. NO HAT, NO PLAY!
Please remember that we have a no nut policy at BHS due to some children having severe allergies. This includes peanut butter sandwiches and nuts in cookies or cakes.
What an amazing first week back! The children have come back eager, enthused and ready to learn. They have already produced work to be extremely proud of.
The children enjoyed taking part in the scavenger hunt and found out lots of interesting facts about their new classmates as well as using their art skills to produce a beautiful class jigsaw.
Please ask your child about their class Essential Agreement that they created as a class.
HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVES
We have started our Inquiry into communication and look forward to our trip next Monday.
Central Idea: The base 10 place value system is used to represent numbers and number relationships
The children will learn to:
- Apply place value to partition and rename four digit numbers
- Recognise, model, represent and order four digit numbers (position four digit numbers on a number line, read four digit numbers, write numbers using digits and words, compare and order four digit numbers)
- Round numbers to the nearest 10 or 100
