Year 6 Update WK 34
Monday 18th June – Dragon Boat Festival Public Holiday – School Closed
Wednesday 27th June – Bugsy Malone production for parents
Thursday 28th June – Year 6 Graduation
Costumes for Year 6 production will be provided in school. Members of staff have been working hard to gather and source various outfits, props and accessories required for the ‘Bugsy Malone’ production.
If you do have anything at home you feel would help with production and would be happy for it to be used please contact one of the Year 6 teachers.
We are very grateful for any help, so all welcome. It is not an expectation for any families to go out and buy costumes. Unless you have been contacted separately regarding outfits, all costumes are being provided/ worked on in school.
Some of the children will be primarily working on costume design as part of their learning contracts so we are excited to include their contributions and learning within the production.
The children have been working hard learning their lines, creating dances, making props and having a blast when rehearsing for the show.
We have some super talented singers, musicians, dancers and actors in Year 6 – we are very lucky to be able to work with such enthusiastic children.
This week we completed a rough run through of each scene and we can now focus on polishing up each scene to make this show one to remember!
Transdisciplinary Theme : How we express ourselves
Central Idea : Many elements combine to create a theatrical performance

Next week we will continue to run through each scene of the production as well as rehearsing songs and putting dances together.
For the remainder of the year, all Maths lessons will be held in the children’s usual classes. Most of the maths that will be taking place will all be revision.
