We would like to thank you all for supporting the market day in school today. There are a few items left that will be available, in the foyer, on mornings from next Tuesday, 20th March. We would like to invite all the children to come and buy some wonderful, handmade goods on their way into school in mornings whilst stocks last!
Portfolios and Student Led Conference Forms – can you please have a look at home and send back all the children’s portfolios that were taken home after the SLCs? Some classes are still missing a few and we do need to keep adding to them throughout the year. Also, the Student Led Conference forms also need to be returned so that we can reflect on our goals before the Easter Break. Thanks so much.
Sports Day – this week BHS held the Year 1 & 2 Sports Day and the kids had a great time! It was very hot and sunny
so can you please remember to pack water bottles, hats and apply sunscreen before coming school on our Sports Day coming up next week. A summery PE kit might be in order too. Can you also pls remember to complete the eNotice letting us know if your child will be coming back to school after the morning’s events? Thanks so much.
PE Days – as we begin a new UOI next week you may find that your child’s PE days have changed. This can be a bother but unfortunately, due to timetable changes, this can’t be helped. Here are the days for PE for UOI 5.
5F – Tuesday and Thursday (Miss Fearn will email you if these days change unexpectedly through the UOI)
5C – Monday and Wednesday
5D – Monday and Tuesday
Can all children please remember to wear their PE kit on these days each week? Thanks.
Scholastic International Book Club
Book Drive
Hi, my name is Muchan, a Student Councillor for 5C. I am organising a Book Drive to help spread my love of reading. The Sony Corporation will collect books to create mobile libraries in South Africa for schools that do not have enough books. If you have books that are:
- Written in English
- Suitable for 6-12-year-olds
- Have no yellow or brown pages (due to aging)
- Have no missing pages
- Have no scribbles inside
- Not Textbooks
- Not magazines
- Not encyclopedias
Please send them to school. There will be a collection box in the school foyer. Any books you can donate will be spread our love of reading.
Student Council Fruity Friday
- To have fun
- You perform in groups or solo
- Your dance should be around 1 minute
- heats for the competition will take place at various lunchtimes after Easter
- there will be a lower school and upper competition
You can support your child by helping them create and rehearse their dance.
