Who We Are: Our beliefs and values can influence our attitudes and behaviour
Lines of Inquiry
An inquiry into:
- Our beliefs (FORM)
- Where our values come from (CONNECTION)
- Differing behaviours and attitudes (PERSPECTIVE)
Next week the children will be exploring their own values and beliefs and creating a Mood Board to represent themselves. In addition to this, the children will have the opportunity to learn more about the beliefs and values of the adults at Beacon Hill School.
Place Value
Central Idea
The base 10 place value system can be extended to represent size.
Lines of Inquiry
An inquiry into:
The patterns of 5 digit numbers and how they are represented
Representing number patterns using words, symbols, numbers and tables
Next week the children will be participating in games, problem solving activities and pre-assessment to revise and extend their knowledge of place value.
However, Miss Heather has asked the children to think about the following question in preparation for next week’s drama sessions:
What’s the difference between a belief and a value?
