How the Arts can be used to communicate (function)
The reasons for and impact of communicating in different ways (causation)
After the holidays the children will start their second Unit of Inquiry. They will think about the many different ways of communicating and share their ideas. They will use Art materials to start creating their own unique bar code made up of meaningful symbols.
Addition and Subtraction are related and are used to solve problems
Lines of Inquiry
- How we use addition and subtraction to solve problems
- The strategies we use for addition and subtraction
- The relationship between addition and subtraction
The children will be translating their understanding of place value into solving calculations accurately. There are new activities open on Mathletics to support their learning.
The children will be read some persuasive texts and look at the language used. They will think about what they are passionate about and start to write their own persuasive text.
There was no Golden Book this week.
Thank you for the amazing pieces of home learning. If your child would still like to share something, they can bring it to school after the holidays.
Competition time!
