BHS Lunchtime Experiences: A message from our Student Council

At BHS we have lots of great clubs which our students really enjoy so Ms Chung challenged us to create even more!  As the student councillors we interviewed our friends and classmates to find out their favourite clubs. We were wondering if any parents would like to help run these clubs?  Do not panic! You do not need to be an expert or world champion, just enthusiastic and willing to help. This could be as an one off session or more, it is up to you. Please click on this google form to volunteer.  The Student Council will then get in contact with you to organise the club.  We will help with all the logistics such as venue, students and resources.

Thank you for any help you can give us.

Things don’t slow down in Year 3 even when the holidays are near! The children participated in a variety of learning tasks this week learning about homes from all over the world, inquiring into strength in shapes, hunted for key words in information reports and brushed up on their skip counting and multiplication skills! The children also enjoyed the PTA disco this Thursday and Wellbeing Day this Friday! More photos from the day will be released on the school website soon!

A huge well done to 3M on their assembly on the Five Ways to Wellbeing – what a great way to kick off Wellbeing Day!

Homes Around the World (and their materials) Powerpoint

Homes have been influenced by a variety of factors over time.

We will be inquiring into:

  • What a home is (form)
  • Why homes have changed over time (causation)
  • How homes in (the local environment) Hong Kong have changed over time (change)

Next week we will continue our inquiries into homes around the world and begin to have conversations about the different homes we can find in Hong Kong.
