By working together people can achieve more.
We will be inquiring into:
- Shared goals in group situations (connection)
- Skills and behaviour that support collaboration (responsibility)
- Impact of their behaviour on a shared goal (reflection)
This coming week the children will be learning about how we identify the different emotions by observing their behaviour and that of others from video clips of them playing games. They will also think about skills they may use during their trip to “Dreams Come True.” Once they return the students will reflect on their shared goal for the different activities, the skills they used and how they could improve.
- Collect and organise data.
- Interpret and draw conclusions by comparing data representations.
Direction
- Describe and position using mathematical language.
- Create and interpret grid references.
Mathletics passwords are in your child’s diary. Please make sure that an adult supports your child when working through the activities.
Next week the students will start to use the arguments they have brainstormed on a topic. They will look at how to organise these into a framework and focussing on expanding each of these ideas. They will examine how they can use connectors to write complex sentences and to think about explaining their argument with reasons and examples.
Over the next few weeks we will continue to look at the comprehension strategy making connections. The children will make links between the text and what they already know. They will be looking at text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world connections.
