- Lifestyle changes
The children will continue to explore the five elements of a healthy lifestyle:
What relationships are and how they affect our health and well being.
Different relaxation activities and whether people find the same things relaxing.
Hygiene and why it is important to help them to be healthy.
Exercise and why this is important for our bodies.
How to eat a healthy and balanced diet. Why nutrition is important for our health.
Please login into The Gateway and sign the e-notice about our upcoming trip to Penfold Park. We would like some parent volunteers so please tick the appropriate box if you are able to help.
CENTRAL IDEA: We represent numbers and number relationships using the place value system
LINES OF INQUIRY:
- Ways to present numbers
- How we count numbers
- The Base ten place value system
- Odd and even numbers (pattern and function)
The children will continue to use a variety of equipment to apply place value to partition and rename three digit numbers. They will practise skip counting in 2s, 5s and 10s starting from zero.
Over the next few weeks, the children will also start to interpret data collected from fitness trackers that they will be using during the school day to count their activity.
Mandarin – All children are encouraged to take a reading book home on the days when they have Mandarin lessons.
