Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students
Parent Consultations
Thanks to those of you who will be attending parent consultations tonight and to those of you who have been flexible with the contingency arrangements for some classes that were put in place due to potential traffic disruption on HK Island. The teachers are looking forward to meeting you all and will reschedule any appointments missed to ensure they take place before November 1. We will be in touch regarding booking alternative times for those families concerned.
CPD Day on Monday
As a reminder there will be a teacher training day ESF wide for all primary schools on Monday 30 September and this will be followed by the public holiday on Tuesday.
Dress Casual for Community Chest
On Friday 4th October our school will be encouraged to ‘Dress Casual’ and support the Community Chest by donating money to this fund. The HK Community Chest does great work in the community and supports a number of charities to make a difference to people’s lives. To find out more about what they do, click here. Students can make donations of $10-20
ESF Central Procurement for BHS Uniform
As a follow-up to last week’s newsletter you will be aware that there will be a change in school uniform in the next 2 years. Please note that your child currently at BHS will be able to wear their existing uniform this year and next. There is currently no change to the purple uniform & PE T-shirt, although this will change over time.
With the change of season, some families may be thinking about purchasing some new uniform items. The PTA is working on ordering some stock items. If, in the meantime an item is not available, ie the red sweater, we are flexible to allow students to wear a plain jersey that matches the uniform until the stock arrives.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Kind regards,
Brenda Cook
Principal

Action in the PYP is when students are inspired through their learning and their experiences to make a difference to their lives or the community connected to real life issues and opportunities. We would like to celebrate our students taking action outside of school. If your child has taken any action, we would be happy to share that with the BHS community through this newsletter and through our Facebook page. Please email details and a photograph to kannis.tsui@bhs.edu.hk

At BHS we value the importance of developing the ‘whole’ child and this means valuing their achievement and interests outside of school. Please email details and a photograph to kannis.tsui@bhs.edu.hk
