Transdisciplinary Theme: How the world works

Central Idea: Energy exists in different forms and is generated and used in different ways.

Lines of Inquiry:

  • Transformation and transference of energy
  • Renewable and non-renewable energy
  • The ways in which we conserve energy

Our Key Concepts are:

Function (how does it work)? How do we use energy? How can energy be generated/harnessed?

Connection (how is it connected to other things)? How does our energy use impact us/our world?

This week the children will be tuning in to the different types of energy by looking at a variety of toys . (Provocation)
