This week the students have continued with their rotations developing their knowledge around our central idea. They have expressed individual wonderings and are exploring these further within their personal inquiry.
Next week the children will be enjoying a range of activities at camp and enjoying the opportunity to interact with their peers in a different environment. Visit the school website to read our updates throughout the week.
During camp children will be applying many mathematical concepts for examples counting change and purchasing items at the market, reading time tables and being responsible for timekeeping.
Children will get the opportunity to reflect and write their journals each day to recount the things they have done and identify the learner profile attributes they have applied that day.
5A: Ronny Yeung – For creating excellent alliterations in his writing and always having a mature attitude in the classroom. Well done!

As your children are now in the upper school, they are expected to be completing 30-45 minutes of homework each night. This will be made up of: approx 15-20 minutes reading with an adult, 10-15 spelling work, and their weekly assigned task.
This week:
Make sure you have everything you need packed and ready for camp. Check the kit list, ensure that all items and clothing are clearly labelled with your name and that you help to pack your own bag so that you recognise everything that is coming with you!
