  1. Using and identifying complex sentences.
  2. Consistent use of past tense
  3. Using the basic mechanics of writing when editing

The Narrative style we are inquiring into is Folk Tales.  We encourage you to share the Folk Tales you grew up with that are part of your culture with your child.  They can then share these with the class.  The children will be focusing on using paragraphs and continuing to use imagery when writing their own fables.

Final Assessment – write a fable

Home Reading- Please remember to use Home readers and Reading Eggspress (particularly if your child has left their reading book at school) with the home reading program.  Parents are reminded to sign the reading journal and to make sure that one or more pages of your child’s reading is listened to each night.
